Dr. Subodh Lal has been practicing medicine since 2000. In addition to general gastrointestinal disorders, Dr. Lal has a special interest in Inflammatory Bowel Disease, as well as pancreaticobiliary medicine, which deals with the treatment of diseases of the pancreas, gallbladder and bile ducts. He also enjoys performing ECRP, or Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatogram, an endoscopic procedure that allows physicians to examine the bile and pancreatic ducts.
Dr. Lal completed a combined BA/MD program at Boston University School of Liberal Arts and Boston University School of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency at McGaw Medical Center in Chicago, followed by a gastroenterology fellowship at Boston University Medical Center.

Dr. Kunjal Gandhi is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. She obtained both her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Medical Degree at the University of Florida in Gainesville. Dr. Gandhi then completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, and Gastroenterology Fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. She has a special interest in inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn’s Disease, Ulcerative Colitis) and was awarded a fellowship for additional IBD training at Harvard’s Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
Dr. Gandhi is a member of the American Medical Association, American Gastroenterological Association, American College of Gastroenterology, and the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of American Fellows.

Upper Endoscopy (EGD)
A camera and light attached to a thin scope are used to examine the esophagus, stomach, and duodenum. The procedure is useful in diagnosing the causes of heartburn, nausea and vomiting, abdominal/chest pain, trouble swallowing, and bleeding.
An upper GI endoscopy is also more effective than imaging techniques such as x-rays in finding ulcers, inflammation, and tumors. Our Vinings/Windy Hill, GA physicians can also remove polyps and foreign objects, treat narrowing of the esophagus, and address bleeding.
Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopa Pancreatogram (ERCP)

The Bravo pH Monitor is a 48-hour test in which a device is placed in the esophagus endoscopically. Using a catheter while the patient is sedated, the physician attaches a capsule to the esophageal lining. The patient can then eat normally and stick to the same routine as usual. Measuring acidity levels, a capsule endoscopy can determine if one has acid reflux or if medication to manage the condition is working.
Hemorrhoidal Banding
An alternative to surgery in Vinings/Windy Hill, this procedure effectively eradicates hemorrhoids and is painless. It does not require sedation. The device is typically used over three treatments, spaced at least 10 days apart.
Colonoscopy
